Fred Kajoba’s yellow brigade failed to step up the gear where it mattered most against Express FC in the Azam Uganda Premier League played at the Champions Stadium in Mwererwe on Tuesday afternoon.

The Lato Milk and Ferro Mobile sponsored Bright Stars 2-0 as the Red Eagles picked up their first ever win in Mwererwe. Joseph Semujju and Saddam Juma netted the goals.

Kajoba named Nicholas Sebwato as team skipper in the absence of Jungu Methodius who has been down with malaria for two weeks.

However his attack minded team lost the game in the first half as Express FC scored two goals in a space of 12 minutes between 35th Minute and two minutes of added time.

Bright Stars remain on 27 points with tougher games coming up in the final bend of the season.

‘We shall plan for the next fixtures. This is has been a tough game against a team that is firing on all cylinders’ said Sebwato.

‘We failed on the focus areas but let’s go back and plan for the next game’ added Sebwato.
