Unbeaten run continues with a valuable away point again thanks to Captain Senkatuka’s strike

FT: Mbarara City FC 1-1 Bright Stars FC

Goals: Nelson Senkatuka (Bright Stars FC), Elieza Okorie (Mbarara City FC)

Kakyeka stadium in Mbarara, Western Uganda played host to the Azam Uganda Premier League match between Mbarara City FC and Bright Stars FC on Tuesday afternoon.

The final score read 1-1 between the sides. Bright Stars have now drawn all its three opening fixtures of the season.

Starting team against Mbarara City FC

Nelson Senkatuka scored his second successive goal for the club on 11th minute before his efforts were cancelled in the 44th minute by Elieza Okorie.

The game played at a high tempo saw both sides push for nothing but search of goals. Hamza Muwonge played a key role in keeping the Mbarara City strikers at bay especially after he saved from a  Makweth Awol pin point scoring opportunity in the dying minutes of the second half.

Stand in coach Paul Kiwanuka named Victor Aweko in the starting line-up for his first game of the season in the Azam Uganda Premier. Joshua Kawadwa who played a splendid game was in a three man attack that had Batte Sheif that yielded a goal from captain Nelson Senaktuka.

Bright Stars FC will play again in the League on Tuesday 26th September against UPDF at the Champions  Stadium in Mwererwe.
