Azam Uganda Premier League returns after an International break with Bright Stars hosting Police FC at the Champions Stadium, Mwerwere with players’ heads held high with hope for positive results.
Amidst the team being without the Head Coach Fred Kajoba and team Captain Nelson Senkatuka who return on Monday night from Kenya where they have been with the National Team-Uganda Cranes for the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup. Uganda finished third.
Bright Stars FC continued with preparations for the final two AUPL first round fixtures according to team’s Assistant coach Paul Kiwanuka who has been in charge.
‘We needed not to rest because we have a target to meet as a team. Police is a good team which we respect but not at the pitch because we also want maximum points’ said Kiwanuka
He added that he is not sure of the presence of the team Senkatuka but the team has deep depth in squad thus there is a right replacement.
Experienced team Custodian Hamuza Muwonge told www.Brightstarsfc.com that the loss to Proline gave them a wake-up call thus the team has worked on all the errors and looking forward to a decent result.
‘We have worked enough and corrected the errors which led to our loss against Proline FC. We need to collect maximum points off Police FC to motivate the players and achieve our set targets’ said Muwonge.
In the same line young silky forward Moses Okot has promised to put up a good show as he awaits for his opportunity. Okot scored a cracker of a goal against Onduparaka FC in a match won by Bright stars FC 2-1 in the League.
‘I am set to give a good show and expecting to score a goal in case given an opportunity by the coach’ vowed Okoth.
