FRED KAJOBA: The new players will improve our squad in the 2nd half of 2017/18 season

Bright Stars FC technical team has released the 28 man squad or the second half of the 2017/18 season following signing of some players to beef up the Kawempe based side.

The Stars who lie 8th in the Azam Uganda Premier League signed let fullback Sam Sekitto from URA FC on a two year deal, midfielder Augustine Kacancu ( has been a trainee at the club during the first half of the 2017/18 season) and stylish left winger Mahadi Kisekka from FUFA Big League side Water FC.

‘I expect the three new signings to improve the team greatly. We would have loved to bring in more players but the rules and regulations couldn’t permit us but we shall work with this squad which I believe will do a good job’ said Head coach Fred Kajoba.

‘We have targets for this season as our bosses have confidence in the team to deliver results. We went to hit the ground early by picking good results when the second round of the Azam Uganda Premier League starts’ added Kajoba.

Bright Stars FC let go of players; Semere Derrick, Jurugo Emma, Yafesi Mubiru and Farouk Kawooya during the January transfer season.
