Bright Stars FC first team has reported back for training in preparation for the 2018/19 Uganda Premier League season.

The training began with one session on Monday morning at the home training facility in Mwererwe.

Head coach Fred Kajoba with his assistant Paul Kiwanuka conducted the training with a keen eye on the possible future recruits who were separately selected from a special training camp two weeks ago.

Team captain Nelson Senkatuka was among the first team players who turned up for training together with goalkeepers Wagima Benson and Hamza Muwonge, defenders Innocent Asiimwe, Enock Walusimbi, Kaggwa Andrew, Sekito Farouk, Kakembo Akram, midfielders Jungu Methodius, Opejo Kokas, Kiwanuka Henry, Okot Moses, Kasozi Remex , Kawadwa Joshua and Aweko Victor.

‘We have started our pre-season training today. Most of the players who were with us last season turned up and I am happy to see each other after a long time. The attitude in camp is good for us’ said skipper Senkatuka

On the other hand, Coach Kajoba admitted that the possible recruits will be given another week to be tested until a decision is taken by the technical team.

‘My team has begun serious training for the preparation of the Uganda Premier league. We hope to select and sign those who will fit in our team’ noted head coach Fred Kajoba.

Bright Stars FC finished eighth in the 2017-2018 Uganda Premier League season.
