KCCA FC 2-0 Bright Stars FC at Lugogo
Next fixture: Onduparaka Fc vs Bright Stars FC in Arua on 26th October 2018
Despite losing for the first time this season in the top flight in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League, head coach Fred Kajoba says it was a learning lesson against KCCA FC for his boys but will bounce back soon.
The Stars fell to a 2-0 loss to the hosts KCCA FC with goals from Filbert Obenchan (17th minute) and Patrick Kaddu (83rd).
Goalkeeper Tamale Samson made a save in the 42nd minute when he parried Mustafa Kizza’s shot for a corner.
At the beginning of the second half, Bright Stars FC Head coach Fred Kajoba made two tactical changes opting for striker Brian Kayanja who came in for Kissekka Mahad and Aggrey Kirya substituted for midfielder Agustine Kacancu.
Team Captain Nelson Senkatuka had a chance to level matters when KCCA FC goalkeeper Charles Lukwago made a blunder in the 53rd minute but his final ball toward the empty net was inches wide.
In the 71st minute, Kacancu was close to pull off an equalizer from another mistake from KCCA FC shot stopper but his header failed to hit the target.
‘We tried to play offensively in the second half but my players failed to utilise the chances created. This is not the end of life but we are confident of improving in our next game against Onduparaka in Arua on 26th October 2018’ said Bright Stars FC Head Coach Kajoba
Bright Stars FC is now 6th on the 16-team log with 7 points from 4 games. The table leaders KCCA FC have ten points.
