The goalless draw away in Arua with Onduparaka FC in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League on Tuesday evening has arguably revived our form and perhaps it is a clear way to get back to wining ways in our next fixture.

Onduparaka FC who had earlier defeated Kirinya Jinja SS FC 3-0 away in Jinja failed to break the solid backline of Asiimwe Innocent, Walusimbi Enock and Kaggwa Andrew.

Veteran goalkeeper Muwonge Hamza kept a vital clean sheet on his first start of the season. He made numerous saves that held the home team for the full game.

Head Coach Kajoba Fred made his first tactical change in the 65th minute opting for centre forward Kayanja Brian who replaced Alfred Onek.

In the 73rd minute, skipper Dan Birikwalira was ruthlessly injured after Kabon Living came from behind that forced the left footed player to fall down awkwardly hence losing his two teeth. He was rushed to Arua Regional referral hospital where he got treatment. He has since been discharged. Birikwalira was replaced by Jungu Methodius.

With 14 minutes to the final whistle Kajoba made his last substitution bringing on midfielder Katende Juma for Kiwanuka Henry.

‘This point is very important to us. We shall build on it to get back to our wining form. It was a huge battle and we deserved a positive result’ said Bright Stars FC assistant coach Kiwanuka Paul

Team changes:

Defender Kaggwa Andrew returned to the first team after missing KCCA FC game and goalkeeper Tamale Simon who had started in all the last league games was on the bench. Defender Martin Kizza and midfielder Mahad Kissekka missed the trip to Arua.

The Stars will play against Kirinya Jinja SSS FC in the next fixture at home in Mwererwe on Saturday 3rd November 2018.

Bright Stars maintained the 6th place with 8 points from 5 games.
