The Stanbic Uganda Cup semi-final draw will be conducted at FUFA House on Wednesday, 10th April 2019, starting at 10 am.

Two StarTimes Uganda Premier League clubs Express FC and Bright Stars FC are joined by two StarTimes FUFA Big League sides Kyetume FC and Proline FC in the draw.

Express is the only remaining club in the competition that has ever won this tournament.

Along with KCCA FC, Express FC has also won the Cup a record 10 times.

The other three clubs – Proline, Kyetume and Bright Stars FC shall be playing the semi-finals for their very first time.

Bright Stars FC who were founded in 1997 made the semifinals for the first time in the club’s history.

Bright Stars out-muscled hard battling Nebbi Central 1-0  in the quarter finals in Nebbi. They had earlier knocked out URA 2-1 at Namboole in the round of 16.

Earlier, Bright Stars were 5-4 post penalty winners over Bumate United away in Bundibugyo after a one all draw in normal time during the round of 16 contest.

In the round of 64, Bright Stars Dispatched Kazo Excel from Mbarara 4-0 in Mwererwe.

Cup holders KCCA FC were eliminated by Tooro United at the round of 32 stage.

Tooro United were subsequently ejected by Wakiso Giants at the round of 16 level.
