It is great pre-season preparations for Bright Stars FC so far after a tremendous return of 13 goals without conceding in four games. The unbeaten friendly run with different football teams as the team awaits for the kickoff of the 2019/2020 Uganda Premier League season.

The latest victory happened during the final of Sheikh Kirwana Cup on Eid day (Sunday 11th August 2019) when the Stars defeated Kawempe Select team 2-0 at Kazo Ground. It is the same veneue where Bright Stars FC played all their home matches during the Kawempe Division 2 and 1 plus the Kampala Regional Leagues.

Gigantic striker Brian Kayanja scored the two goals. He netted the opener from a direct free-kick in the 56th minute while the other was a well-brushed header in the 78th minute.

In the other previous friendlies, Bright Stars FC defeated Wakiso Giants FC 2-0 at the Wakisha Stadium on 6th August. Jungu Methodius and Jamil Kalisa were on target.

The biggest defeat fell to Butabika Select who were punished 8-0 after edging UPDF 1-0 in the earlier friendly match.

Bright Stars continues with preparations for the new season (2019/2020) to have quality players at the club before league kickoff.

Additionally, Bright Stars was 100% cleared by the FUFA Licensing committee to play in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
